Daniel Craig is a famous English actor. As a young man he studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and graduated in 1991. After graduating he appeared in several smaller roles, but his first leading role came in 1996 with the BBC Television serial Our Friends in the North. His first major introduction to international audiences came in 2001 when Craig acted alongside Angelina Jolie in Laura Croft: Tomb Raider. Then in 2005 the actor's real breakthrough came when he signed a five-film contract to play James Bond. And to top the cake, Craig's first 007 film, Casino Royale, became the highest grossing Bond film to date when it was released in 2006.
